Members of the U.S. House Committee on Homeland Security grilled Pennsylvania State Police Commissioner Col. Christopher Paris this week about what was discovered at the home of Thomas Matthew Crooks, the 20-year-old suspected of shooting Donald Trump in the ear at a July 13, 2024, rally in Butler, Penn. What Paris inadvertently revealed in his testimony is that Crooks’ home had already been scrubbed clean like a “medical lab” by the time local law enforcement arrived.
According to Paris, his agents were unable to confirm the presence of any silverware, trash or other things that one would expect to find in someone’s living residence. In fact, it almost sounds as if the house was simply a staging area or perhaps a command center.
“Did your team make entry and conduct any investigation of the suspect’s home?” asked former Navy Seal and current Rep. Eli Crane (R-Ariz.), who serves Arizona’s 2nd Congressional District.
“I believe we had people that participated in securing it; there were bomb assets that we provided on the night of,” Paris responded.
“Did you get any reports from any of your agents of anything fishy at the home?” Rep. Crane then asked.
“I was briefed on, uh,” Paris started to respond before Rep. Crane interjected.
“Was there any silverware found in the home or trash?” Rep. Crane continued in his line of questioning.
“I have nothing in the briefing I was given,” Paris said.
“Was it extremely clean, almost like a medical lab? Were you given any of these reports?” Rep. Crane probed.
“I wasn’t given any of those details,” Paris admitted.

There is growing speculation that the reason Crooks’ home was spotless, almost like it had been staged by a realtor, that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) cleaned the place up just prior to the shooting.
On X, Dr. James Joyce (@drjamesbjoyce) wrote that he believes Paris lied at the hearing, and not in a very convincing way.
“Col. Paris looks a little surprised by this line of questioning almost as though he never prepared himself to have to answer those questions,” wrote another.
The term “inside job” is also being thrown around a lot in reference to the shooting. There are simply too many bits of the story that make no sense, including the questionable claim that Crooks is the one who fired a weapon at Trump.
The Health Ranger is convinced that Crooks never fired a single shot, this based on a lack of compelling evidence. If you are interested, check out the below episode of Brighteon Broadcast News to learn more.
